Apple adds more resources to help parents keep their children and teenagers safe online.
In keeping with its mission to develop technology that improves people’s lives while assisting them in protecting their privacy and staying secure online, Apple offers parents tools to help them keep their children and teenagers safe when using its devices, including features that have already been seen. These new capabilities, which are intended to assist parents in navigating the perils of an increasingly complicated digital environment, expand upon the parental controls that are already accessible in Screen Time and on the App Store. They are based on privacy and security, just like all other Apple features.
Child account management gets easier
This makes it easier to reassure parents that their child’s safety settings will be in place from the moment they start using a gadget as teens aged 13-17 would have same child account setting even with conventional Apple account. Now getting an iPad 10 student price (ไอแพด 10 ราคานักศึกษา, this is the term in the Thai) comes with better parental control and a safer online environment.
Parents may now more readily verify that the age linked to their child’s account was entered accurately. Parents of children under the age of thirteen will then be asked to link their child’s account to their family group.
Child’s age range
With the help of the new child age-range feature, parents may let their children share with app developers the age range linked to the Child Account without disclosing the child’s birthdate and maintain control over their data. Parents have the option to change their mind at any moment regarding whether they want age-range information to be supplied consistently, for every app request, or never on their iPad 10 student price.
Protections made possible for teens right away
Children under the age of thirteen must have a Child Account, which comes with safeguards like app and web content controls activated from the start. Children between the ages of 13 and 17 will now have the same age-appropriate protections enabled from the start. These further safeguards utilize the recently added, more detailed age ratings on the App Store and include web content filtering and Communication Safety.
Additional app store granular age ratings
Based on data supplied by developers, Apple has long offered age ratings for every app in the App Store to assist customers in determining if the app is suitable for children. These age ratings are compatible with Ask to Buy and Screen Time, two parental control tools, and are integrated into all of Apple’s operating systems.
Age ratings will be extended to five categories by the end of the year, with three ratings- 13+, 16+, and 18+- to encourage teenagers. This will provide developers with a more accurate method of rating their apps and users with a more detailed idea of how acceptable an app is.
Safer interactions for children
By imposing restrictions on phone, FaceTime, messaging, and iCloud connections, Communication Limits has given parents the power to control when their children can interact with others. It now broadens to provide parents more control over who their children can interact with. With just a single press in Messages, parents can readily approve, providing greater control and convenience.
